I wanted to try a new muffler to make my bike louder (since I can barely hear it above my husband's Harley). I bought a megaphone slash cut muffler from J.C. Whitney ('cause I'm cheap) and when it came I thought it looked really nice. They told me it would fit my bike and it does go on, but the end rubs and pushes against my rear brake cable. When I looked at my old stock muffler I realized that it bends or angles out a little. Anyway, can I bend this new muffler without sacrificing integrity? If not, I see a lot of people talking about the Jardine muffler. Any other details? Where do I buy a muffler that will fit, look good, sound loud and not break the bank? Thanks for your help!
